"Digne" by Proskuneo Min., & Thank You to Josh Davis

About a year ago, I was commissioned to transcribe all the songs of "One," the latest album by Proskuneo Ministries, proliferators and educators of multicultural worship music based in the Atlanta area. Their album is available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.

Continuing in our posts for National Hispanic Heritage Month, I wanted to recommend a song written by Proskuneo's leader, Josh Davis, called "Digne." Translated "Worthy," it is a call-and-response song that is dominantly in Spanish (but also available in French) that speaks of God being worthy, not only of all conceivable glory and honor, but also our individual pasts and futures. As with all songs on this album, chord charts, PowerPoint files and the lead sheets are all free to download at the bottom of this page.

Josh Davis, the leader of Proskuneo, is a "third culture kid" who developed his passion for languages and multicultural ministry while living with his parents doing ministry in Puerto Rico. It was Josh Davis who first listened to my idea about serving multicultural ministry by transcribing music and making it more accessible when we first met at a conference in Baltimore in late 2017. It was also Josh Davis who "auditioned" my work with one of his own songs and later hired me to transcribe this album, which was DiverseChurchMusic's very first project. (Thank you, Josh!)

So, utilize the creativity and edifying capability of "Digne" or any other song on this album!
