Fresh Start Music and Hal Sacks

Recently, I've had the privilege of getting to know Hal Sacks, a professional and skilled artist in media production (music and video). He's also a very passionate man about multicultural music and ministry, and he's just released a new album.

From his website:

“I grew up in a middle-class Jewish home where I had very limited interaction with people from other cultures and religions. When I was 18, I developed a relationship with a family of Bible believers originally from the South. Prior to these folks, I had never met anyone from a cultural background so radically different from anything I had ever experienced,” Sacks reflected. “Yet they shared their lives with me, welcoming me into their home, igniting a relational and spiritual journey that ultimately led to my becoming a follower of Jesus. This first experience with cross-cultural relationships is still the catalyst for my passion to develop worship for multicultural churches today,” Sacks continued.

For the past 25 years, Hal Sacks has combined his exceptional audio and video production skills with his vast experience across genres and industries. With multiple Grammy, Stellar and Dove awards and nominations, and his work with major artists Kirk Whalum, Layla Hathaway, Tommy Walker and Norman Hutchins. Sacks’ spirit-led goal is to serve the whole body of Christian believers using his gifts and experiences to see the church move closer to its highest calling as a multiethnic, multicultural, intergenerational and multi-genre catalyst for global reconciliation. Sacks achieved his goal on the Make Us One –Culture Fusion project by assembling a cultural mosaic of vocalists and musicians united in faith and purpose.
