Continuing in Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, I'd like to share about a song I learned two months ago at Mosaic Ministries. It's called "God, He Shares Our Pain," (performed by WELOVE) and it's a powerful ballad. It's available in Korean, Mandarin, English, and Spanish. Its chord progression is fairly simple and it would be a good song to sing at church considering the events of the past month. English lyrics below:
When it feels like we've been walking life alone
When the Lord feels absent and so far away
We must look upon the one who came to us
Redeemer, who came down to save us
Jesus knows the hurt we feel inside our broken hearts
Close to us, our Beloved Savior shares our every pain
Lord who came down on earth to be within our hearts
In every circumstance, God shares our pain
When it feels like we've been walking life alone
When the Lord feels absent and so far away
We must look upon the one who came to us
Redeemer, who came down to save us
