A gifted musician in one of my one networks introduced this song. It's amazing, it involves the erhu, and it's available to use in your worship service if you're interested!
From its writer, Gloria Fanchiang: The lyrics speak to anti-Asian racism as well as the story of Hagar in Genesis 16. I also incorporated the traditional Chinese erhu instrument and included a choir as homage to gospel music and African American spirituality which has been formative in my faith journey. She talks further about her song on this podcast.
