I once served at a church that regularly had "mini-youth Sundays," where the worship team's roster was dominantly students from our church's own youth group. The church's youth group was small, and it didn't have a lead (or acoustic) guitarist, but it did have brass players.
So, I found a song on the radio that I really enjoyed. I changed the key and provided brass parts. "Higher" by Unspoken a fun and funky song for an offertory that's not your typical CCM. We pulled it off without any guitars. In addition to brass (we had trumpet and trombone), you'd also need a good lead vocalist and a proficient keyboardist.
