Jemar Tisby is a Christian, historian, writer and speaker. I have enjoyed listening to many episodes of his podcast Pass The Mic and his interviews elsewhere. Tisby recently released his first book, The Color of Compromise: The Truth about the American Church's Complicity in Racism, was released immediately after MLK Day 2019. Its foreword is by rap artist Lecrae and has been positively reviewed by Washington Post and others.
I have yet to read it, and I would really like to soon. From my experience of his work, Tisby is a very personable, gracious and wise brother in Christ. If his book is similar to his podcasts, it is very edifying and educational. Consider ordering a copy.
