You might have noticed that I (James) a fan of Rend Collective, the Irish worship band. A few years ago, I was learning about their album Campfire II: Simplicity, and I noticed the popular worship song "Oceans" on the track list.
Great, I sarcastically thought. Another "Oceans" rendition.
But, as it turns out, their upbeat folk version of the song was refreshing. To encourage multilingual worship one Sunday, I added the Spanish lyrics to the song. Utilizing familiar tunes, while making some slight changes, can be a good way to practice multilingual worship with the congregation.
