Lecrae is a talented musician, songwriter and rapper, and also a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He has had to deal with an unfortunate and wholly unnecessary amount of flak and un-support from white evangelicals for talking openly and honestly about social justice. I have read his book and listened to a few of his albums, and one song that I have particularly enjoyed is "Welcome to America." It's a dramatic song that challenges us to see America as it truly is: both beautiful and broken.
