I've had the privilege of getting to know the group Zion's Joy!, a multicultural vocal group based out of Indianapolis. One of their singers (Camille McKnight, about whom I'm posting at another time) is the Gospel choir director and a worship leader at a church I served.
From their website:
Zion’s Joy! is comprised of melodious voices, with a mission to unite the world in love through praising our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The theme of Zion’s Joy! is taken from Isaiah 51:3 where it concludes that in Zion “joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody."
With a blend of tight, rich harmonies, and powerful lead vocals, Zion’s Joy! delivers a unique brand of old and new school gospel / contemporary Christian music. Indiana Gospel Music Association president Ken Gates describes their live ministry performance as “electric, moving, and a must see.”
Each member is involved in their own local church, and in addition to touring, Zion's Joy! has also appeared on Fox News and TBN.
Their latest single is "'Tis So Sweet." (YouTube, Amazon) Other singles include "Continuous Praise (Over and Over)" (YouTube, Amazon) and "What Would Heaven Look Like?" (YouTube, Amazon). Their album, "Knocking on Heaven's Door," can be found here. In addition to playing their music, consider having them sing at your church or ministry!
